Choose Stella Maris as your "star of the sea" for the ideal beach vacation. Your family will be delighted by its handsome amenities and 5 Master Suites so everybody will savor both privacy and room to relax together on its decks, screened porch or around the sizable private pool. There is complimentary parking at the Bonita Street beach access parking lot (less than a 1/2 mile to the east). [Note: At this home, no dogs or other animals are allowed; AC thermostats cannot be lowered below 73F degrees.]

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room offers a enormous flat-screen TV, plenty of comfortable couch seating and access to the upper deck with a furnished screened porch and a picnic table. The kitchen has granite countertops with plenty of space to prepare family meals. The kitchen island has a prep sink and can seat 4 at the counter with a dining table that seats 8. There is a half bath next to the kitchen. A modest Loft offers seating and privacy plus sunset vistas to the west from its balcony. A King Master Suite is on this level with flat-screen TV, access to the top deck and a huge master bath with a low-barrier shower. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
From the entry way, the den is another sitting area for family members to gather and relax. There are three Master Suites on this floor, each with private baths, flat-screen TVs and deck access: a King Master, another master has 2 Twin beds and the third master has both a Top Bunk/Futon and a Bunk Bed Set which will be great as a kids' bedroom.

GROUND LEVEL:
Down to the ground level, there is a game area with pool table, kitchenette with full-size refrigerator and more Parlor seating with flat-screen TV. The laundry area is located next to the Queen Jr. Master Suite which has a semi-private bathroom that is shared with the game area. The private pool (12' x 28', open June to mid-Sept.) and hot tub complete the outdoor area outside the home along with a charcoal grille. There is parking for 3-4 cars in the driveway.

EXTRAS:
As a guest of the Monteray Shores community, your family will be able to make reservations online to use the community amenities. These amenities are available during business hours and include 2 community piers for modest craft boat launch, fishing or crabbing (NC License is required), a kids's playground, 3 basketball courts, 4 tennis/pickleball courts, adult and kiddie pool (summer only), and a exercise center.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Corolla Raceway are also worth visiting. Finding your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance.   • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
