Discover Sandy Pause, a vibrant oceanside hideaway in Corolla that promises a plethora of amenities to enhance your upcoming Outer Banks vacation!

Appreciate a cup of coffee while taking in the warm salty breeze and ocean and sunrise vistas from the front deck with comfortable seating. When not at the beach, located just 700 feet away, soak in the sun next to the private 12x20 pool. Mix up a cool drink at the poolside tiki bar before calming in the bubbling hot tub. Horseshoes and a basketball goal will keep the family entertained for hours!

Inside, the top level great room offers a bright and airy living area, a dining area for 8 with access to the screened-in porch and open deck, and an open kitchen with countertop seating for 3. A queen bedroom with deck access and a full bath round out the top level of Sandy Pause.

A cozy den with plush couches, a TV, and a mini refrigerator can be found on the mid level, as well as a queen en suite, a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a pyramid bunk bedroom, and a full hall bath. All 3 bedrooms on this level offer TVs. The covered deck on this level features a hammock, ideal for reading a good book after a long day in the sun!

Monterey and TimBuck II shopping plazas are close by, providing simple access to groceries, eateries, stores, a movie theater, mini-golf, go-carts, and more.

Sandy Pause is located just a short walk to the striking, broad lifeguarded (in-season) Whalehead Beach via the Herring Pedestrian Walkway.

Sheets and towels are supplied with beds made.

Sandy Pause includes credit for $315 in beach gear units from our partners at VayK Life. Stay between April 6th and October 19th, 2024 (7-nighttime minimum), and use your beach gear credit for items such as bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and more!

Sandy Pause is pet-friendly. There is an additional charge for guests bringing family pets, which will be added and collected after booking. Pet costs range from $161-231 depending on the property, and will be assessed state and local taxes.

Mid Level: Queen en suite with private bath, a pyramid bunk bedroom, a bedroom with two twins, a full bath, and a den with a 55" ROKU TV, covered deck.

Located by the sea, this vacation home is in Whalehead Beach, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Currituck Beach, while Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and Wild Horse Museum are cultural highlights. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Corolla Raceway are also worth visiting.

When to visit Corolla & When to reserve a Corolla rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Corolla. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
