There's also a private putting green for honing your skills before heading over for a round of golf at The Currituck Club's Reece-Jones designed course.
Inside, a reverse floorplan and east-facing sun deck take full advantage of the ocean vistas from the top level. When you're not dining out at one of Corolla's phenomenal eateries, use the freshly refreshed kitchen to prepare meals at the home. The chef in the family will especially savor the open-concept layout, where they can still be part of the action while cooking. Located on the southern end of the Whalehead community, O'Shinn View is less than half a mile from Monteray Plaza. Walk or bicycle to conveniences such as grocery stores, specialty food markets, gas stations and a coffee shop, plus beach gear stores and units. Tips to get the perfect Currituck rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Currituck area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Currituck restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. O'Shinn View: Short Walk to Beach
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
