Getting the best Corolla vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Shore House- Luxury Beach Front with pool - OBX has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Currituck destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
