Located just a short walk from the ocean, community pool, tennis and basketball courts of Pine Island, our Fan-ta-sea is ideal for your family's vacation.

Ground Level: Entry Level. Queen Master Bedroom and laundry room with washer and dryer.

Mid Level: Private den with Queen Sleep Couch and flat screen TV (could double as a 6th bedroom), Queen Master Bedroom with TV and private deck and a Bedroom with 2 Singles and deck access that shares a full hall bath with a Bedroom with DuoBunk, Trundle and deck access. Hot tub is on the deck.

Top Level: Great room with TV/DVD, gas fireplace and deck access, dining area seating 9, kitchen with breakfast bar seating 3, Ships Watch with ocean view, half bath and a King Master Bedroom with TV, private deck and bathroom with jetted bathtub plus shower.

Extras: Hot Tub, 4 TVs, DVD player, wireless high-speed internet access, book library, high chair, outside shower, picnic table, gas fireplace (available November 1- April 30), charcoal grille, parking for 5 cars, community water, linens and towels supplied and Pine Island Community Conveniences. Linens and towels supplied at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Corolla. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses.   • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
