Accessible by 4 x 4 only! Feel the appeal of Carova beach, acclaimed for it's clean and wide beaches, offering simple beach access and of course the wild horses of the northern beaches that roam complimentary!

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include an outside shower, covered patio, 2 picnic tables, sun deck and a gas grille. Inside you'll find a den with a flat screen TV and a nook with arcade video game. Bedroom with 2 Singles and a full hall bathroom. Laundry area with washer, dryer and utility sink.

Top Level: Great room with flat-screen TV and sound bar. Kitchen with counter seating for 5 and the dining area seating 4. King Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV and private bathroom, Queen Bedroom and a full hallway bathroom.

Extras: Two 4x4 parking passes (with $50 cash deposit), 3 TVs, sound bar, outside shower, high speed internet, gas grille, 2 picnic tables, arcade game, Keurig & Traditional coffee makers, corn hole, sun deck, covered patio and linens and towels supplied. Linens and towels included at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive cars such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand.

Carova Beach is convenient for families because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive car brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and appreciate the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and savor the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and tons of waterfowl on the sound.

Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are supplied with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County (https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituckbeachparking) The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center (500 Hunt Club Drive). Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

About the Area

Located in Corolla, this vacation home is near the beach. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Martin Vineyards are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Outer Banks Beaches and Swan Beach. When to go & When to book:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. Reserve your Currituck rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
