Strategies to get the perfect Currituck vacation rental experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- To get the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Time To Coast: Semi-Oceanfront, Hot Tub, Ocean Views has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
