Strategies to get the optimal Currituck vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and pick the perfect Currituck rental home:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Luxury New Home, Game Room, Heated Pool, Hot Tub! has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
