Our top Currituck rental home tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- Summer time is high season in Corolla. To get the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oyster and Pearl Unit 24B has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.

- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
