**You are choosing to rent a home in a wooded setting. Remember, there are bugs of all kinds and then some. We will not entertain complaints of mosquitos, spiders, snakes....etc. We have midges, they are attracted to light. To keep them out of the home keep outside lights off when not in use. They are harmless. They do not bite or sting. If they get in the home please do not swat at them and leave black streaks on the ceiling. Just leave them alone. In most cases they will be dead by morning. We do treat the home on a regular basis. If you see a dead bug that means our pest control is working. **
Pictures will be posted as we progress. Look at our sister property for a general idea of layout. Vacation Rental By Owner #2987227

Booking the best vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Currituck rental home & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Corolla. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Josies Joint-New for 2024 Newly built only 3.5 Miles off Blacktop\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Currituck beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
