Strategies for getting the perfect Currituck rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- To get the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Currituck restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental in Corolla:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Jewel Of The Banks: Just Feet to the Beach, Must See Kitchen and Breakfast Nook has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
