How to get the best Corolla rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking your prefectrental:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Far Far Way: Saltwater Pool & Spa, Semi-Oceanfront has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Currituck attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
