Travel up the 4x4 beaches of Carova, NC through the salty air, along the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean while catching sights of the wild horses strolling by! Make your way up to the peaceful end of Carova to our comfortable brand new home!
Please know that getting to the home requires a 4x4 car, driving about 30 mins. on the sandy beaches once the paved road ends.
We welcome you to our home away from home which offers two bedrooms and one full bath. One room has a queen bed, while the other has a bunk bed with a twin on top, a full on the bottom and a twin trundle below that. Each room has a intelligent TV with WIFI throughout the home. The bathroom has a single sink, toilet and a bathtub with shower. Our open concept living room, kitchen and dining room with vaulted ceilings, is ideal for the family to all be together in one common area. Our sizable porch is the ideal spot to appreciate a morning cup of coffee or an evening beverage while listening to the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Down on ground level you can grille out, watch the kids swing on the tree swing, toss a ball around, or simply kick back and chat about the days you plan on having on the beach!
Other things to note:
In order to park on the beach you must have a beach parking pass. We provide 2 passes with the rental of our home. Please leave them for future guests to savor ( A $200 fee will be charged for missing parking passes). It is also enforced that you park in the middle of the beach as the dune line and foreshore are the road. Please air down your tires to 15-20 psi to make traversing the sand easier. The back of the guest parking passes explains everything you need to know for driving and parking on the beach.
You will have access to the entire home minus the ground level storage room.

Tips to get the best Currituck vacation home experience:
When to visit Corolla & When to reserve a rental home:
- Book your Currituck rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Currituck area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Brand New Home on the quiet end of Carova, NC only a few blocks from the ocean! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
