Please know that getting to the home requires a 4x4 car, driving about 30 mins. on the sandy beaches once the paved road ends.
We welcome you to our home away from home which offers two bedrooms and one full bath. One room has a queen bed, while the other has a bunk bed with a twin on top, a full on the bottom and a twin trundle below that. Each room has a intelligent TV with WIFI throughout the home. The bathroom has a single sink, toilet and a bathtub with shower. Our open concept living room, kitchen and dining room with vaulted ceilings, is ideal for the family to all be together in one common area. Our sizable porch is the ideal spot to savor a morning cup of coffee or an evening beverage while listening to the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Down on ground level you can grille out, watch the kids swing on the tree swing, toss a ball around, or simply kick back and chat about the days you plan on having on the beach!
Other things to note:
In order to park on the beach you must have a beach parking pass. We provide 2 passes with the rental of our home. Please leave them for future guests to appreciate ( A $200 fee will be charged for missing parking passes). It is also enforced that you park in the middle of the beach as the dune line and foreshore are the road. Please air down your tires to 15-20 psi to make traversing the sand easier. The back of the guest parking passes explains everything you need to know for driving and parking on the beach.
You will have access to the entire home minus the ground level storage room.

Tips to get the best Currituck vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your Currituck rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Currituck area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Brand New Home on the quiet end of Carova, NC only a few blocks from the ocean! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's an individual Currituck destination you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
