Strategies to get the perfect Corolla rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Currituck restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and pick a perfect Currituck rental home:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Always About The Beach: Condo near the beach in the heart of Corolla has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Currituck destination you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
