Tricks and tips to get the perfect Currituck vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in Corolla. Booking your Currituck vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. The 1903 Beach Club at Whalehead - Corolla OBX has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
