NEW RENTAL: Overlooking the 12th fairway of The Currituck Club golf course, Blue Crabb'n belongs to the exclusive Hammocks Reserve Collection in The Currituck Club resort. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
The airy Great Room encompasses a family-friendly living space with handsome vistas, plenty of couch space for TV viewing. There is access to a sun deck with gas grille and an outdoor table. Also, there is a screened porch to savor the vistas and the great outdoors. The dining table seats 8 and the kitchen counter seats 5. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is designed for meal preparations with a gas stove. The laundry area is just off the kitchen. The Queen Master Suite on this level has a shower/tub combo in its private bathroom. A half bath is located by the staircase that goes down to the mid level. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

ENTRY LEVEL:
There are 4 bedrooms on this floor to complete the family sleeping arrangements. The Bunk Bed Master Suite is ideal for kids; its master bath has a shower/tub combo. Next, the Day Bed Master Suite has a Trundle and a shower in its master bath; this bedroom has access to the covered deck with porch swing at the back of the home. The King Master Suite also has access to the back deck and its master bath has separate shower and a sizable soaking tub. The last bedroom is a Queen Master Suite with a private bath which has a shower/tub combo. The centerpiece on this level is the roomy Parlor area with a 65" flat-screen TV for family members to spread out and appreciate watching a favorite movie or sporting event. Outdoors, your family will enjoy the huge private pool (14' x 35'; pool open mid-May to mid-October) which is surrounded by plenty of furnishings to use for calming and sunbathing. There is a hot tub on this pool deck for the adults to enjoy. Be sure to use the outdoor shower after beach-going! The garage is not available for guest use. There is parking at this home for 4 cars.

EXTRAS:
As guests within The Currituck Club, a premier-gated community and resort, your family can use its various amenities including complimentary trolley service to the beach access and beach valet service (summer months only), a Clubhouse with on-site dining, a enormous community pool with kiddie pool at the main entrance, a Exercise Center, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. There are planned kids' activities offered during the summer and paths for walking and bicycle riding. Golfers in the family can make reservations to play the 18-hole course that is landscaped throughout the resort with sound and ocean vistas.

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection.   • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
