When to visit Corolla & When to book:

• The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
• Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
• Some owners offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
• Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
• Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
