This beautiful home is within walking distance to the beach (or take advantage of the trolley, in season). It’s ideal for those who savor the ocean and ever-changing sound vistas. At dusk, marvel in spectacular sunsets and then sit back and appreciate a nighttime of cosmic sightseeing – planets, shooting stars, and constellations.

Sound Escape is an ideal destination for family and friends. Within steps of Magnolia Bay and the Currituck Sound, you will delight in the surrounding water vistas as the vistas promise to mesmerize. Watch the playful otters and nutria, hungry herons and egrets, and all the ample wildlife right outside your back door. The home offers three master bedrooms, a completely outfitted kitchen, and an electric charging station (240 volt) in the garage for electric cars.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
