Getting the best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Currituck area. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Currituck area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. A Shore Thing: Private Pool, Elevator, Hot Tub has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. message the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
