Happiness will abound when your family chooses to stay at the Crabby Mermaid. It is a huge and comfortable vacation home that has a private saltwater pool, hot tub and it is only 775 feet from the beach access in the Whalehead Beach neighborhood. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room encompasses the entire top level with a roomy layout that include the living, dining and kitchen. The living area that has a wraparound couch and 2 adore seats for comfortable viewing of the huge flat-screen TV. The dining table seats 10 and the kitchen island has chairs for 8 guests. There is a half bath by the dining area. The enormous, well-equipped kitchen is outfitted cookware and other meal prep items. Nearby, there is a breakfast table that can seat 4 early-risers in the morning. There are vistas from the top level with wide sun decks that span 3 sides of the home facing east, west and south. The rooftop deck also provides both Atlantic Ocean vistas and sunset vistas to the west over the Currituck Sound. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
The entire floor has a total of 5 Master Suites that flank the center hall. There are 3 Queen Masters and a Pyramid Bunk Master which have deck access to either the front or to the back of the home. The King Master Suite does not have deck access. All bedrooms have a flat-screen TV and there are shower/tub combos in their master baths.

GROUND LEVEL:
Three more bedrooms are on this floor include a second King Master Suite and the fourth Queen Master Suite with shower/tub combos in their master baths. The Pyramid Bunk bedroom which shares a full bath with the Parlor area. This Parlor offers more seating and a spot for guests to hang out, either to play the air hockey or savor the pool and hot tub outside. A kitchenette with microwave and a full-size refrigerator are available for additional beverages and groceries.

EXTRAS:
The outdoor area offers a handsome saltwater pool measures 11' x 24' (pool open May to mid-October; pool heat available for an additional fee). There is plenty of outdoor furnishings, a sizable hot tub and two grilles: a park-style grille for charcoal and a gas grille. A cabana has a picnic table and an outdoor shower before using the pool or hot tub and an outdoor half bath. In the front driveway, active family members can practice shooting some hoops into the basketball net. Crabby Mermaid is 775 feet from the neighborhood beach access so it is an simple walk for everybody to appreciate both the beach and this gorgeous vacation rental home. There is parking for 6-7 cars.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Whalehead Beach, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Corolla Raceway are also worth visiting.
