Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental experience:
When to book a Currituck rental home & When to go:
- In the Currituck area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Currituck area. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 520, Bay Spray- Soundfront, Sound views! Dogs Welcome, Private Pool! has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your trip.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Currituck beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a great stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
