Tricks and tips to get the optimal Currituck rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in the Currituck area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and choose your prefect Currituck rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- 75 ft from the beach
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Currituck attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
