How to find the best Currituck rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Semi Oceanfront Home In Corolla w\/ Private Pool & Hot Tub has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Currituck beach you crave, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
