Salty or sweet, ocean or sound, private or community amenities - why not have both? Salty Suite is an immaculate soundside home located on a peaceful cul-de-sac in Corolla's Villages at Ocean Hill. Guests will appreciate a private pool and hot tub, a variety of resort amenities, and a short walk to the beach. With seven bedrooms total and an abundance of outdoor living space, Salty Suite is ideal for multiple or extended families visiting together. Even your fur babies can join you on your next trip to the Outer Banks when you stay at this dog-friendly home.
An open concept layout and windows galore make the comfortably furnished great room feel bright and airy. After a day at the beach or exploring Corolla, come home and curl up on the couch to watch a movie or the big game, or get comfortable in front of the gas fireplace that can be used on cooler Spring and Fall evenings. The living area leads out to a wrap-around sun deck with access to the crow's nest for a bird's eye view of the neighborhood. Back inside, prepare homemade meals in the well-equipped kitchen that provides plenty of counterspace and overlooks the living area. If those emails just can't wait, the loft is furnished with a workstation for remote work or school. At the end of the nighttime, getaway to the primary suite that includes a king bed, private bath and deck access. Three additional bedrooms are located on the mid-level (including a second ensuite) which all have access to a covered deck overlooking the pool area. Downstairs, the ground level consists of three more bedrooms, a full bath and a rec room. This indoor entertainment space includes a pool table and wet bar with full-size refrigerator for convenient poolside drinks and snacks. Just outside, you'll find a 12' x 24' private pool and a bubbly hot tub. The backyard is ideal for kids and dogs and includes a cookout area with charcoal grille and picnic table.
During your stay at Salty Suite, the entire family can take advantage of the exclusive community amenities offered by The Villages of Ocean Hill. Tips to get the best Currituck rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Currituck area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Currituck visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain discounts for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Currituck vacation home:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Salty Suite: Private Pool
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
