Our top Corolla rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to visit & When to reserve a Currituck rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. Book your Currituck vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Currituck area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Corolla has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Currituck beach you simply love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
