How to book the best Corolla rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer months are high season in the Currituck area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Currituck vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book the best Currituck rental:
- Start by having your group select trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. ManeStay Coastal Cottage, where wild horses roam free! 4 Wheel drive needed has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
