NEW to Paramount Destinations: Blue Mermaid, formerly named Beach Time Out, is located within the neighborhood of Monteray Shores with access to its community amenities. The new owners are busy adding upgraded amenities and decor throughout the home for the upcoming rental season. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
The open floor plan of the Great Room offers a enormous 65" flat-screen TV, plenty of comfortable couch seating in the living area and access to a sun deck on the east side of the home. Savor two separate seating areas on this deck including an outdoor table for dining outside. The indoor dining table seats 8 and the bar counter will seat 3. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances including a pod coffee maker and has counter space for preparing family-friendly meals. A King Master Suite is on this level and its private bath has a shower. There is a half bath on the landing down the stairs to the mid level. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
A couch hall provides another seating area for guests on this level. There are 3 bedrooms which include a Queen Master Suite with access to the back deck; its master bath has a shower/tub combo. and. Next, a bedroom for kids has a Pyramid Bunk (twin over double) and a Twin bed. It has a slider door to access the back deck. The hall bath next to this bedroom has a shower/tub combo. The third bedroom is a King Master Suite with back deck access and its master bath has a shower. The laundry area is located on this level.

GROUND LEVEL:
The fifth bedroom has 2 Bunk Bed sets for kids. The hall bath has a shower/tub combo. The game area (picture to come) has a second full-size refrigerator for additional grocery or drink storage plus a flat-screen TV, a Foosball table and a kitchenette with a microwave oven. Slider doors lead out to the fenced pool deck. Use the outdoor shower in the carport to shower off after beach-going or before appreciating the water amenities. The huge, gunite pool (14' x 24'; open mid-May to mid-October) will occupy many happy family hours of fun including calming on the poolside loungers or at the outdoor table. Outside the pool deck, a hot tub is available for the adults to appreciate and picnic table with a gas grille are ready to use (photos to come).

EXTRAS:
As a guest of the Monteray Shores community, your family will be able to make reservations online to use the community amenities. These amenities are available during business hours and include 2 community piers for modest craft boat launch, fishing or crabbing (NC License is required), a kids's playground, 3 basketball courts, 4 tennis/pickleball courts, adult and kiddie pool (summer only), and a exercise center. The beach access with complimentary parking is roughly 8/10ths of a mile away.

Located near the beach, Beach Time Out: Large Private Pool, Hot Tub, Close to Beach is in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and The Sanderling Spa are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Outer Banks Beaches and Currituck Beach. Corolla Raceway and Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and ecotours nearby.

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
