Dream Shack has new owners ready to give you everything you've dreamt of and more in your Outer Banks vacation, not to mention vistas galore! We just installed a NEW HOT TUB over the winter so you can extend your vacation season. This home offers high elevation with vistas heads above the rest, sunrises and sunsets you will never forget! You'll have ocean and sound access, soundside boat ramp access, private heated pool, community tennis and basketball courts, a community pool, and direct access to the bicycle path. Plenty of beach parking can also be found at the Bonito St Access, just 1/2 mile away.

Our handsomely constructed, newly constructed 4 bedroom home is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac steps away from the community amenities and miles away from the stresses of your daily life. Beds will also be freshly made for your arrival, & bathrooms set up with bath & beach towels for your use during your hideaway. We have cavernous decks wrapping around both the front and pool sides of the home on each level to maximize your vistas. The ground floor offers dry entry or head up the front steps to enter the home on the mid-level. Each of our 4 bedrooms has its own private full bath, roomy closets, and a Roku TV. Start at the top with this reverse floor plan and you will find our completely supplied kitchen, screened porch, dining area, living area, half bath, queen bedroom suite with private full bath, and deck access at every turn. The dining area offers seating for 8 at the table plus 4 at the island. Our kitchen is entirely supplied for the chef in your group with sliders leading to the screened in porch. Supplied are dishes, cookware, cutlery, barware, & glassware for your every culinary need. Appliances include a blender, standard coffee maker, Keurig, microwave, dishwasher, electric range & oven, & refrigerator/freezer. The living area is airy and bright, with 2 more sets of sliders that lead to deck. The Queen bedroom suite on this level has a full bathroom with a striking walk-in tiled shower.

Just one floor down are 3 more bedrooms each with their own private full bath. The Queen room is located directly to the left of the entrance on this level. Down the hall is the generously sized King room that has a tiled walk-in shower and sliders leading to the mid-level decks. The third bedroom on this level has 2 Twin beds, and a desk in case anyone needs to catch up on work or school. The laundry room is located on this level as well. The ground floor offers another half bath as well as the dry entry area with plenty of space to unload after your trip. You’ll also find access to the ever trendy fenced in private heated pool area with a new hot tub where you can appreciate countless sunshine and good vibes.

The Bonita beach access is less than a half mile away with plenty of parking. The beaches here are beautiful and wide, with sunrises that will take your breath away. All of this, plus the resort amenities of Monteray Shores! Did we mention the awesome eateries, stores, & historic Corolla Park that are all within a few miles away? Our beautiful home is a ideal choice with its proximity to shopping, eateries, arts, sightseeing, boating, fishing, bird watching, jet skiing, surfing, eco tours; many are in walking distance! The Currituck lighthouse & Whalehead Club are also close by, not to mention our famed wild horses that roam the beaches just North of our home. Everything you need, right here in heaven! The biggest decision you will have during your stay at our home is what to do!

We want everybody to have a fabulous, calming hideaway in our Outer Banks home! Part of ensuring a consistent experience for everybody relies on our housekeepers, inspection personnel, & maintenance repair personnel being able to maintain the home in tip top shape for you & your family in between renters. They do a magnificant job of making sure everything is done during a very short window of time. Check-out time is 10 am; departure instructions are included in your welcome letter & are also located on the refrigerator. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow them the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.

We understand that there are times when you may need an early check-in time. We are happy to offer guaranteed early check-in if you have confirmed & paid for this additional service 2 weeks prior to arrival. This payment accepts us to compensate our home staff for prioritizing our home for your early arrival at 1 pm. As a courtesy to our service vendors, we ask that you please do not park at the home, drop off personal items, or ask our vendors if the home is ready yet if you do not choose to coordinate a guaranteed early check-in. We savor your understanding as we prepare our home for your hideaway!

There are 2 exterior cameras at our home which are required by our insurance company both for your safety and ours. They are not in use when guests are staying.

About the Area

Located in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla, this vacation home is in a rural area and near the beach. Outer Banks Beaches and Currituck Beach reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Corolla Raceway. Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and Nor'Banks Sailing are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding the best value:

  • Summer months are high season in Corolla. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
