Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Currituck rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer time is high season in Corolla. To get the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Currituck attractions.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Corolla:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Pair-a-dice
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
