Finding the best Currituck rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in Corolla. Booking your Currituck vacation home in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking the right Currituck rental:
- To start, have your family select dates and a spending budget.
- Private Pool and Hot Tub has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
