2024 upgrades included a new standalone beer and soda refrigerator. 2023 upgrades supplied a new Queen, Full and twin bed, an upgraded ice maker, new intelligent TVs in all bedrooms, TV sound bar and a new crockpot.

Located amidst oceanside oaks and sea grass, "Seashell" is a family vacation semi-oceanfront home with vistas from its many Oceanside windows. Located on a enormous corner 20,000 square foot lot at the end of the cul-de-sac, the home is located north of the Duck Village and a short drive to Duck and Corolla! "Seashell" offers painless access to the ocean, as well as a wide variety of activities in the area. The roomy pool area is surrounded by greenery to create a private getaway, also home to the hot tub and gas grille for outdoor entertaining.

Ground Level: Outside amenities include a fenced patio with private pool, hot tub, picnic table and a high surround of bushes to achieve privacy so you can forget about the world and your neighbors on vacation. Outside you'll also find an outside shower, charcoal grille, gas grille and basketball hoop. Inside you'll find a King Master Bedroom with intelligent TV and deck access, Queen Bedroom with a semi-private bathroom (second door from the bathroom to living areas) and a intelligent TV. Game room with HD TV, Day Bed, Trundle, foosball table and 2nd full-sized refrigerator.

Mid Level: Offers a King Master Bedroom with intelligent TV, walk-in closet and private deck, Bedroom with a Bunk Set and Single, Bedroom with a DuoBunk, Trundle and deck access, full hall bath and laundry area with washer and dryer.

Top Level: King Master Bedroom with intelligent TV, walk-in closet, ocean vistas and a private deck, kitchen with counter seating 2, great room with leather sectional couch, recliners, flat-screen HD TV and ocean vistas, dining room seating 11, half bathroom and ocean facing decks with picnic table and ocean vistas.

Linens and towels supplied at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

SPARKLE CLUB: Guests will be able to arrive at their vacation home at 12:00 pm with access to the first level of the home and the pool area only (be advised the pool and spa may not be cleaned by noon, if the home offers a private pool). Please do not attempt to go to any other level in your vacation home until the housekeeping team has finished their work OR 4:00 pm check in time.

Beach Cabana Service: 4 chairs and 1 umbrella will be set up Monday- Friday at the Seashell Street community beach access, Section B. Look for a Brindley Beach tag on the umbrella with property number OS6B. Weather permitting they will be set up from 10 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday, 6/27/25-8/21/25. Umbrellas and chairs may not be set up on extremely windy or rainy days.

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Currituck rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Currituck visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • First, have your group commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Semi-Oceanfront, 6 BRs, Priv Pool, H Tub, Rec Rm, OS6B, Seashell has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
