Ocean Haven ~ The name says it all! Under new ownership, we are ready to make your vacation more restful and calming. We have freshly remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms, along with other updates to make your stay more delightful. Tucked away in the peaceful, private neighborhood of Ocean Sands, the sweeping vistas from our oceanfront gem will take your breath away. Our beach bungalow is just steps away from the wide beaches of Corolla, has a private hot tub, 3 family rooms, and offers many oceanfront sun decks and covered decks for dolphin watching.

Leave your stresses at home; with the ocean as your backyard they will be washed away. Our home is a roomy and bright 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath getaway. Dry entry brings you into the ground level, where you will find the first family room with a TV and Roku, a half bath with direct access to the outdoor shower, and the laundry area. Up one flight to the mid level you’ll find 3 bedrooms and a newly modernized full bath. The Queen bedroom offers direct oceanside deck access with the hot tub conveniently through the sliders. A second bedroom also offers slider access to the shared oceanside deck, and a third offers 2 sets of bunkbeds. On your way to the next level, you will pass through the entry hall with outdoor access to yet another deck with stairs to the ground. On the top level, we have 2 more Queen bedrooms. The first offers a sun deck and shares a full bath with the living area. The second Queen bedroom was not offered to renters by the previous owners; it offers a cavernous bedroom, a private oceanfront deck, and a enormous full bathroom with double vanities. This level also offers a full services kitchen, a second family room, and a screened porch just off the kitchen. Our gorgeous spiral staircase takes you to a loft family room area as well as the highest deck that offers the most spectacular ocean vistas. Savor your morning coffee while you watch the sun come up over the ocean!

We have a completely equipped open kitchen that joins the dining and living areas with island seating. Included are dishes, cookware, pots, pans, cutlery, barware, and glassware for your every culinary need. Appliances include a blender, standard coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, electric range/oven, and refrigerator/freezer.

We want everybody to have a magnificent, relaxing hideaway in our Outer Banks home! Part of ensuring the same experience for everybody relies on our housekeepers, inspection personnel, and maintenance repair personnel being able maintain the home in tip top shape for you and your family in-between renters. When you arrive at our home, please notify us right away if you find anything to be not working properly. This helps us be able to get address it in a timely manner. Our partners do a exceptional job of making sure everything is done during a very short window. Check-out time is 10 am and departure instructions are in your welcome e-mail and also located on the refrigerator. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow them the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.

We understand that there are times when you may need an early check-in time. We are happy to offer guaranteed early check-in if you have confirmed & paid for this additional service 2 weeks prior to arrival. This payment accepts us to compensate our home staff for prioritizing our home for your early arrival at 1 pm. As a courtesy to our service vendors, we ask that you please do not park at the home, drop off personal items, or ask our vendors if the home is ready yet if you do not choose to coordinate a guaranteed early check-in. We appreciate your understanding as we prepare our home for your hideaway!

When to visit & When to reserve a Corolla rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Currituck area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.

  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it.
