TOP LEVEL:
The open floor plan of the Great Room offers a sizable flat-screen TV, plenty of comfortable couch seating in the Living Area and access to the wide sun decks with furnishings for relaxation. The Dining table seats 10 and is adjacent to the Kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a French-door refrigerator to store plenty of groceries and beverages. A modest sitting area in the Ships Watch has vistas to the west. Also on this level is a huge King Master Suite with private bath (shower/tub combo), flat-screen TV and deck access. [Note: gas fireplace is not for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
From the entry way, you can access two Master Suites are on this level: one is a King Master Suite with a private bath that has two pedestal sinks and a shower/tub combo. The Queen Master Suite is the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have flat-screen TVs and access to the covered back deck that overlooks the pool deck below.

GROUND LEVEL:
The fourth bedroom has double Bunk Bed sets which are intended for kids. There is a half bath next to this bedroom. The Parlor has a wet bar, a second full-size refrigerator and a enormous flat-screen TV. The Laundry area is on this level also. You have access to the private pool which measures 12' x 35' (open mid-May to mid-October). There is a gas grille available.

EXTRAS:
As a guest of the Monteray Shores community, your family will be able to make reservations online to use the community amenities. These amenities are available during business hours and include 2 community piers for modest craft boat launch, fishing or crabbing (NC License is required), a kids's playground, 3 basketball courts, 4 tennis/pickleball courts, adult and kiddie pool (summer only), and a exercise center.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla. Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and Wild Horse Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and The Sanderling Spa. Corolla Raceway and Nor'Banks Sailing are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and ecotours nearby.

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Currituck attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
