Currituck rental booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Currituck rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Corolla. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Currituck visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Currituck area:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Las Brisas: Spacious, elegant living in this wonderful home is everything you co has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
