Getting the best Corolla rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the best vacation rental in Corolla:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Las Brisas: Private Pool, Hot Tub, Club Access has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's a certain Currituck attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
