How to book the best Carova rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Carova. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking the bestrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. 4x4 Required! Pool\/Hot tub Game room New windows\/ siding 2024 Well maintained has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Currituck attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Have a great stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
