Unwind with the whole family at this peaceful beach home hideaway. The beach is only six homes away. You can literally walk there in 2 mins.. With the home at the end of the housing development, there are no neighbors behind you, and that means a less busy beach as well. Sandy Pause is a great place to savor the vistas from the Ships Watch, relax in the hottub room, or appreciate a meal in the screened in porch. Deck, swing, hammock, pool, and hot tub accepts everybody to relax.
Guests have access to the whole home with the exception of three locked utility closets and the locked shed in the carport.
I will be available by phone/e-mail as needed.
A great vacation beach destination, just a 2 min. walk away. This is a great family vacation spot with room and amenities for the whole family. centrally located to close by shopping and dining.
There is no street parking, so make sure all cars are in the driveway or in front of the pool. The beach is a fast 2 min. walk. The tennis courts are a short walk. The main road has a bicycle/walking path that you could take to local food and shopping just 1.5 miles away in either direction.

Booking the best Currituck rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, change your family's Currituck vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Currituck visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the best rental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. 5bd\/4bath short walk to beach with jacuzzi room\/hot tub\/private pool, ping pong has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Currituck beach you crave, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
