An open-concept layout accepts everybody to gather and socialize, even while preparing meals in the kitchen. Serve dinner al fresco using the outdoor dining table in the screened-in porch, followed by drinks on the deck while watching the sunset. Each level includes a primary suite with king bed and private bath, making Afternoon Tee an ideal choice for extended or multiple families visiting together. Hang out downstairs in the game room to watch TV or play a game of bumper pool. There's even a wet bar with full-size refrigerator and microwave for convenient poolside drinks and snacks. Golfers will appreciate the ground level golf room with lockers, the ideal place to store putters and other equipment. But the Currituck Club is so much more than just a golf community! The Exercise Center provides guests with year-round amenities including a gym, tennis courts, volleyball, shuffleboard and more. During the summer months, getting to the beach is painless using the complimentary trolley service. Once you arrive at the beach, you'll be greeted by a valet who can assist you with carrying all of your gear. Afternoon Tee is also part of the Pine Island Beach Club, which provides a second option for getting to the beach along with additional outdoor amenities. Take advantage of convenient parking, a sizable oceanfront lap pool, outdoor ping pong and pool tables, snack bar and of course, simple access to the beach. No family pets allowed. No smoking/vaping. Our top Rental property booking tips:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Corolla. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Afternoon Tee: Pool, Hot Tub, Beach Club Access has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
