Get your steps in on your 7 min. walk down the pristine trex pathway straight to Whalehead beach and the ocean. Located within walking distance to the wide, broad, sought after, uncrowded Whalehead Beaches of Corolla. Meticulous, professional décor is all new, extravagant yet comfortable, including down couch and chairs. Linen duvets in 2 masters. Spa robes supplied in all rooms. Entirely equipped kitchen, including sizable wine cooler, high end modest and enormous appliances, including Keurig with Latte/Cappuccino, a Cafe drip coffee brewer and Ninja blenders. This “intelligent home” offers high speed wireless internet up to 500mps, wall-mounted flat and curved Intelligent T.V.s in all rooms including Outdoors to watch while grilling or soaking in the hot tub, and a kid security alarm at the sliding door leading to the pool, electronic fireplace with led light ambiance, can be used with or without heat. Within 2 miles to grocery stores, dining, shopping, the Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, Museums, Wild Horse Tours, and 2 miles to the 4x4 beach and local golf.

Ground Level: On this level you will find a game room and a fourth bedroom. In the game room there’s a shuffleboard table, a mini-kitchen that is complete with a wet bar, full size refrigerator, ice maker, sink, modest appliances including a Ninja blender and Single serve Keurig, drink and melamine dinner ware. The entertainment area consists of a curved intelligent screen TV, console containing games and puzzles, and a huge sectional couch. The fourth bedroom has two full-sized beds and a semi-private bath with a tiled shower and its own huge intelligent tv. Outside the alarmed sliding glass door, relax and savor the 10 X 24 private pool or the spa/hot tub. The enclosed outdoor shower is also located in this fenced area. Also supplied is a Tiki Bar and many options for seating (polywood chairs and lounge chairs and an outdoor flat screen tv.

Mid-Level: There are three master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and sizable intelligent tv, as well as a deck and a full size GE washer and dryer. There is a king-sized bed in one bedroom and queen-sized beds in the other two.

Top Level: An open great room with handsome floor, high ceilings, huge curved screen TV, and an electric fireplace providing ambiance and heat, if needed. The open design of this level accepts max. vistas from each area. The seating area is open to the main deck which included an additional outdoor dining area protected from the elements within a screened in porch. The kitchen offers black stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, a large island with seating, bespoke cabinets and a walk in pantry. The dining area is roomy and handsome. Rounding off this level is a half bath.

Monteray Shores Community Conveniences Include: Sound front Pier swim, crab, or fish on the Currituck sound; A gazebo to admire the extraordinary waterfront sunsets; a Boat ramp to launch modest craft, jet skis, kayaks, SUP, etc. large outdoor pool(seasonal), exercise center, tennis and basketball courts, and a playground. Many paths surround for cycling or walking.

Finding your best deal:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Currituck area. Reserve your Currituck rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.

  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
