Mid Level: Entry level. Great room with flat-screen TV and deck access. Kitchen with counter seating for 3, full hall bathroom, Queen Master Bedroom with a private bathroom, Bedroom with a Full Bed and laundry area with washer and dryer.

Top Level: Queen Bedroom.

Extras: Two 4x4 parking passes (with $50 cash deposit), 2 TVs, close to the beach, pure water drinking system and linens and towels supplied. No Smoking. Dogs Welcome. Flex Stay available All Seasons. Beds: 2 Queens, Full. House Address: 2190 Sandpiper Road. Distance to beach access: 1086'. Key Type: Keyless entry. CHECK IN LOCATION: 1023 Ocean Trail, Corolla Office.

Linens and towels included at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

This property does not offer an outside shower.

4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive cars such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand.

Carova Beach is convenient for families because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive car brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and appreciate the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and savor the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and tons of waterfowl on the sound.

Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are supplied with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County (https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituckbeachparking) The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center (500 Hunt Club Drive). Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

About the Area

Located in Corolla, this vacation home is near the beach. Outer Banks Beaches and False Cape State Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Digger's Dungeon - Home of Grave Digger. Currituck County Welcome Center and Flippers Arcade & Variety Store are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • In the Currituck area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Corolla. To book the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Currituck area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.   • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
