Accessible by 4 x 4 only! Your family will appreciate this secluded 4x4 home offering ocean vistas and just a short distance to the beach. Savor seeing the horses wandering the dunes, spend days at the beach or hang out at the home playing games and horseshoes.

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include an carport and outside shower.

Mid Level: This level offers 3 bedrooms including a King Master Bedroom with deck access and private bathroom and a Queen Bedroom that shares a jack-n-jill bathroom with another Queen Bedroom. Den with Double Sleep Couch and the laundry area with stackable washer dryer.

Top Level: Offers the great room with flat-screen TV and gas fireplace, dining room with seating for 6 offering deck access and a wine cooler, screened porch and newly refreshed kitchen with counter seating for 2. Queen Bedroom with semi-private full bathroom (second door from bathroom to living areas).

Extras: Two 4x4 parking passes (with $50 cash deposit), TV (streaming only), 8 beach chairs, dog crate, beach toys, beach cart, charcoal grille, high speed internet, high chair, infant gate, horseshoes, board games, kids's books. outside shower, wine cooler, gas fireplace (available Nov 1- April 30) and linens and towels supplied. Linens and towels included at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.
4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive cars such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand.

Swan Beach is convenient for families because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive car brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and savor the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and appreciate the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and tons of waterfowl on the sound.

Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are supplied with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County (https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituckbeachparking) The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center (500 Hunt Club Drive). Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
