Overview You surely will be Livin' the Dream while staying in this 10-bedroom, oceanfront vacation home. There are many great features to this home, but just to name a few: gathering areas on every floor, spacious bedrooms that each have a private bath, ocean views from both the first and second floors, all the deck space one could want, a large pool that can be heated with a connected hot tub (and a second sheltered hot tub in case it rains), sunny and shaded poolside lounging, an outdoor kitchen, Sonos surround sound system through the entire house and outside, a private beach access, and a large dune top deck for optimal sunrise viewing. Not only a prime location being on the oceanfront, but also in a prime Outer Banks subdivision. The Whalehead community is close to many attractions like the Whalehead Club and the Currituck Lighthouse, and also local restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. A nearby kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and sink makes for the ideal spot to store drinks and snacks for those who are hanging out on this floor or out by the pool. Additionally, there is a theater with theater-style seating for twelve and a large projector screen. A half bath is conveniently located between the theater, the rec room, and the door that leads out to the pool.There are three bedrooms on this level. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and private baths. The third bedroom has two built-in double bunks (double-over-double) and a private bath. Shades of blue off the Atlantic Ocean paint the wall to the east through the sliding glass door in the media den. The media den offers sofa and armchair seating, a mounted flat screen TV, and a built-in desk area. A second and more robust rec room is available with a pool table and shuffleboard table. A card table with seating for four, a high-top table with seating for two, and a bar ledge with seating for two are positioned around the room for those who are hanging out in here. On top of all that, there is not one, not two, but three mounted flat screen TVs in this room. A sliding glass door leads out to a private deck on the front of the house. A half bath is connected to the rec room and is also accessible from the hallway that leads you to the laundry room with two washer and dryer sets and a sink.Bedding accommodations on this floor include four king bedrooms, all with private baths, and a bedroom with two queen beds and a private bath. The three king bedrooms on the east end of the house offer ocean views. Two of the east king bedrooms and the west king bedroom have direct access to the covered deck. The second hot tub is located on the covered deck on the south side of the house. The deck wraps from the front to the back of the house and extends to the private beach access with a dune top deck. Whether you're hanging out in the great room, at the dining table, in the kitchen, or up on the lofted ocean watch, the views of the Atlantic are uninterrupted and unbeatable. The great room is furnished with an L-shaped sectional and armchairs. Additional armchair seating is positioned on a raised platform under a wall of picture windows. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. A full refrigerator and separate freezer are available, and both have drawers below for additional storage throughout your stay. A 6-burner gas stove, two ovens, two dishwashers, a Keurig, and a microwave round out the appliances in the kitchen. A full island bar is available on the outskirts of the kitchen area and has an icemaker and wine cooler built into the wrap around bar that has seating for many. On the south end of the top floor is a lofted ocean watch with seating and panoramic views through the windows surrounding the space. A door from the ocean watch leads down to the top floor deck that wraps from the west, around to the south, and onto the east side of the house.Two king bedrooms with private baths round out the top floor. One is located on the northeast side of the house. It offers a spacious seating area that overlooks the ocean, fireplace, and a private bath with a walk-in shower, soaking tub, water closet, double vanity, and walk-in closet. The second king bedroom has a private bath with a shower/tub and a private deck.
