Welcome to Seas the Day Corolla, a ideal home-away-from-home in the Outer Banks!
Whether you come to Corolla for the wild horses, Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, or the unbeatable beaches, you’ll adore staying at Seas the Day. We’ve put a lot of thought into equipping the home with everything a family might need for a marvelous vacation — so that you barely need to bring a thing! Plus, our keyless entry system and supplied laundry service mean no time wasted picking up a key or dropping off laundry!
Some of the amenities that our guests have appreciated most include the bicycles, bocce court, beach gear, and kids' recreation room. And of course don’t forget to try the hammock, multi-game arcade, ping-pong table, and hot tub!
As part of the Villages at Ocean Hill community, your stay also includes (all within mins.’ walk): private access to the beach, two swimming pools (open Memorial Day through Labor Day), a exercise center, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a turtle-filled lake (they appreciate Cheerios!).
The home is located about 3 blocks from the beach — a fast 2-min. drive or bicycle ride, or a pleasant 8-10 min. walk. It is also a 2-min. drive from the wild horse sanctuary of Carova Beach (4WD-accessible), and a 5-min. walk from the nature trail leading to the sound. Miles of freshly paved paths just outside the community are ideal for cycling, running, or walking. Just down the block is the gorgeous Corolla Adventure Park, where you can take on the ropes course, do some axe throwing, and grab a beer or root beer float!
The home itself is a roomy and calming getaway. The heart of the home is the open-concept top floor, which has high ceilings, tons of light, and great vistas of the lighthouse. This floor includes a full kitchen with bar seating, dining table, and sweetheart table (total seating for up to 14); a half-bathroom; and three comfortable couches for relaxing — plus a screened-in porch with table and chairs, and sliding glass doors to a deck with sun loungers. The well-outfitted kitchen includes plenty of glasses, tumblers, dishware, cookware, and appliances (including a blender, coffeemaker, 4-slot toaster, and toaster oven) as well as a cooler for days at the beach. The living area comes equipped with a flat-screen intelligent TV, DVD player, surround-sound stereo, and tons of games and puzzles. And of course, there is complimentary WiFi, enhanced with a Google Mesh network that ensures a strong signal on every floor.
The master bedroom is also located on the top floor, with a king-size bed, full bath, flat-screen Roku TV, and sliding glass doors to the hot tub deck.
The second floor is home to three bedrooms. Another master bedroom here features a queen-size bed, full bath, flat-screen Roku TV, and sliding glass doors to a wraparound deck with a rope hammock where you can read, nap, and daydream. The "First Flight" room is ideal for a young family or up to 4 kids, with a full+twin Duo Bunk bed and a separate twin bed. The "Wild Horse" room has 2 twin beds that can conveniently be pushed together if you prefer to have a king size bed. Rounding out the second floor are a sizable full bathroom and laundry area with washer, dryer, and additional towels, as well as another main entrance off the hammock deck to the home.
The last bedroom on the ground floor doubles as a recreation room, sure to be the kids’ favorite! A two-player multi-game arcade and a foosball table offer hours of fun, along with a TV/DVD/stereo setup and mini-library of books. This room contains a full+twin Duo Bunk bed as well as a pullout sleeper couch and a loveseat. The ground floor also has a half bathroom.
Outside, challenge your housemates to a ping-pong tournament using the best-in-class ping-pong table. Try your hand at bocce — or hop into the 7-person hot tub to soak up the good life and relax.
When you’re planning your activities, be sure to check out the bicycles, and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, body board, and toys) we’ve included! There are also two full sets of golf clubs (adult size) if you should want to hit the links! And when you’re back from the beach, the private outdoor shower (with both hot and cold water) is the ideal way to rinse off and relax.
Please note:
-For our guests' safety, the home is protected by exterior Ring cameras, one overlooking the front driveway area and the other overlooking the back patio/bocce/hot tub area.
-We have a families-only rental policy, as the home is set up for a mix of kids and adults. We welcome groups with up to 8 adults for max. comfort.
We look forward to welcoming you to Seas the Day!

Tricks and tips to get the best Currituck vacation property experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Currituck restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Currituck area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and choosing a perfect Currituck rental home:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Spacious family fun! Relax with a hot tub, bocce & ping-pong! [Sunday-to-Sunday] has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
