Tricks and tips to get the very best rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies supply Currituck area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best rental in Corolla:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Sound Spirit:Unwind at this charming pet friendly home in the gated Currituck Cl has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
- If there's an individual Currituck attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
