-> The master king room enjoys a private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and double sinks, as well as a balcony with outdoor seating overlooking the front of the residence and community

-> SunRise ‘n Shine is ideally located in the highly sought out Village of Corolla, the northern end of the Outer Banks. It is charmingly positioned oceanside, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound. SunRise'n Shine is part of the Beach Club at Whalehead gated community, claiming to be the most narrow portion of OBX. You have the best of both worlds with an simple walk to the sunrises on the beach, as well as access to the photogenic sunsets at the Corolla Historic Park on the sound, just a fast walk across the street. Both the sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous so don’t forget to bring your camera!
-> The grounds of the Corolla Park are complimentary and open to the public, while its main attractions include the infamous Whalehead Club, Currituck Beach Light House, Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, and Currituck Maritime Museum offer seasonal tours for a modest fee

WEATHER Cancellation Policy:
-> -> While we understand that unpredictable weather, including tropical storms, may not be the ideal travel times, we still operate as usual during inclement weather. As such, we do not offer refunds outside of our normal cancellation policy for bad weather conditions. However, should there be a mandatory local or state evacuation order issued for our area, with the need to cancel, please contact Vacation Rental By Owner first to discuss their policy agreed to during the booking process.

If there is a loss of power for a prolonged period of time, we will refund the affected nights.

If our home is damaged and we can not offer accommodations, we will of course refund those affected nights.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, we strongly encourage all guests to consider purchasing travel insurance when booking to best protect your travel plans.

Located near the beach, this condo is in Corolla Light, a neighborhood in Corolla. Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and Wild Horse Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and The Sanderling Spa. Corolla Raceway and Digger's Dungeon - Home of Grave Digger are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Currituck area. Book your Currituck vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.

  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
