Once inside the home, you'll find that Shenanigans is equipped with all modern amenities, including a completely outfitted kitchen, Wi-Fi, and entertainment options. Unwind in the comfortable living room or gather in the dining area for meals and games and appreciate the gorgeously decorated interiors that reflect the coastal appeal and create a warm, inviting ambiance. When it's time to turn in for the nighttime, you'll find eight roomy bedrooms with cozy linens ideal for getting a good nighttime's rest.

Exploring the Outer Banks: Located close to the Currituck Club, practicing that swing or making a hole-in-one is ideal. Just mins. away, is the iconic Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, and 4x4 beach providing plenty of activities for everybody. Local eateries, unique stores, grocery stores, and outdoor adventures give visitors plenty of options to make the most of their stay.

Beach Access: The Marlin Public Beach Access is just a fast walk away! Use the paved walkway to the south of the home which will take you directly to the access. The beach access offers visitors use of the wooden overwalk to make crossing over the dunes a breeze.

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.

Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (e-mail is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental prices in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Currituck area. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Currituck attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Currituck area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
