Finding your perfect rental home:

• June, July, and August are high season in the Currituck area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
• Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
• Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
• Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
