Getting the best Corolla vacation property experience:
When to visit Corolla & When to reserve a rental home:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Corolla:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Meant To Be Your Home Away from Home 5 BR, 4.5 BA Pool Hot Tub Walk to 4X4 Beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
