“Hughes Hideaway” is a semi-oceanfront mansion with private pool, hot tub, gorgeous finishes, giant spaces for everybody and a manicured lawn for the kids. Wood in the great room living area with plenty of room for everybody accents the granite countertops on the bespoke cabinetry with high-end stainless-steel appliances. We should call this “Huge Hideaway” with all the space you will have to savor all 19 of your closest friends and relatives! The kitchen island spans the length of the kitchen where cooks can look out into the great room and be a part of the family fun. The island bar seats 8 comfortably, and adds much needed storage space to the kitchen. Appliances are set up to prepare meals for the entire group. Or, call in a private chef who can take care of everybody, whether you want to appreciate meals in the dining area and great room, ground level poolside or deck side. Let's get right to the kids. The manicured yard and volleyball court are kept fresh and are ready for tiny feet (or not so tiny) to run, play and just have a ball without spurs and cactus in the way. The top level intelligent TV accepts you to stream your favorite shows, the home theater also offers internet access so you can enjoy movies there or hook up and stream favorite shows, movies or games.
The ground level rec room floor plan gives a fun space with some distance to the bedrooms and office for a peaceful environment when needed. The ample rec room has a 9 ft. billiards table and a game table for board games or snacks. The sizable wet bar with refrigerator with freezer ice maker and 2 drawer dishwasher gives you another area for storage and meal prep for lunches by the pool. The cabana home attached by decking to the main home gives super privacy in the upper level bridal suite king master outfitted with LCD TV, Mini Fridge, Microwave, and a huge tile Shower with a Rain Head and Steam Mist. Below at poolside is the cabana kitchenette with a cool pass through to the poolside bar, full size refrigerator with freezer ice maker, and LCD TV. This great hang out will be the spot for lunch and snacks by the pool.
All bedrooms are full masters, with numerous offering luxury appointments. The top King Master has deck access overlooking a green/tree scape you do not usually get in a busy Corolla neighborhood. This master has steam mist in the tub/shower unit. Mid level master bedrooms are huge and comfortable, with some offering private toilet rooms, some offering access to the massive deck space this home offers.
Outside covered patios and decks abound with a calming pool deck cabana bar/kitchen and a hot tub protected and shaded on the ground level patio just beside the cute grilling area. Grillmasters will no longer be isolated here! Bring the volleyball because this court is always ready to play! Soft, lush grass in the front yard gives the kids a place to play and mom, dad and grandparents a beautiful place to watch. Just a few homes from the beach access, our measurement is halfway up the access, making the distance to the beach closer than you think. Now's the time, turn it up a notch and give your family a marvelous experience in a one of a kind destination!

How to find the best Currituck vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Corolla has 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Currituck destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
