The location is a remote, wooded lot, where the horses appreciate to roam and take shade from the sun. While private, you are just a short two-min. drive to the beach, where you can chose your favorite beach front parking spot and relax, look for sea shell treasures, maybe spot a school of dolphins or watch the horses play. Beach parking passes supplied.
Note: In Carova, there is a sizable dune that separates homes from the beachfront, so most visitors choose to drive to the beach regardless if 50 feet or 1100 feet from the beach. Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Corolla. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Horse Inn Around ???? : Beach Fun for All ???? Pet Friendly! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
