Welcome to Don't Worry, Beach Happy OBX in Corolla—your ideal oceanside escape! This cavernous 4-bedroom getaway is tailor-made for families and furry friends, offering a private pool and spa, just a short walk to the beach, shopping, and eateries. Whether you're soaking up the sun, exploring local attractions, or simply calming by the pool, our home provides the ideal setting for memorable memories. Bring your adored ones (including the pups!) and experience the best of Corolla living!

This year's addition is a enormous clear backyard, new hot tub on the pool deck with additional shade sails for shade on the hot afternoons (photos coming soon!)

Walk up the stairs of this reverse floor plan to the third level and savor the open, light-filled space. Pictures don't capture the casual, open-concept living area that encompassing the kitchen, living, dining areas and half bath. Vaulted ceilings and huge open windows and sliding doors create an open, airy space that enjoys impressive natural light. Sliding glass doors lead to a deck that spans two sides of the home to take in the handsome Corolla sunrise and sunsets. The kitchen is entirely equipped to prepare delicious home-cooked meals and has generous counter space thanks to a sizable peninsula with seating for four. The top deck provide a great vantage point to view the pretty sunrises and sunsets as well as the Whalehead community.

After a fun day at the beach, come RELAX while appreciating your own private pool. Sip a glass of wine in the hot tub and watch the sun set or read a book on the top decks while you listen to the surf. You can be as busy or casual as you would like! Make a short walk to the Beach, grocery, eateries, bars, movie theatre, stores, and entertainment at Timbuck II.

Our beach home is located on a half acre in the beautiful Whalehead Beach and offers many features including:

Please note that our pool will be closed from October 1, 2024 until May 1, 2025. Our NEW hot tub (now located on the pool deck!) will open on April 1, 2025. The pool will close on roughly October 15, 2025 (based on weather).
A modest exterior camera is mounted on the front of the home to monitor the driveway for deliveries and cleaning between visits. It will not be in use during your visit.

What household items do we provide:
4 beach chairs, beach wagon and sand toys
All sheets and towels for every bedroom
Dishtowels and kitchen sponge
We also have a variety of spices in the kitchen available.

We get you started with -
* A roll of toilet paper and hand soap in each bathroom
* Welcome coffee kit of Keurig pods and sweeteners
* Roll of paper towels,
* Dishwasher detergent and liquid dish soap
* Laundry soap

You will need~ beach towels, garbage bags, additional toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, every day toiletries.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Whalehead Beach, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Corolla Raceway are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Currituck vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection.   • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
