Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Corolla rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Corolla. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose your prefect Currituck rental:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 1359 Happy Ours * 3 Min Walk to Beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
