Seas the Day is a semi-oceanfront 7 bedroom, 7.5 bath with charming ocean vistas. We are roughly 11 miles up the beach which takes about 30 mins. to get to.
Getting to the OBX during the weekend is both busy and eats up a lot of time. Avoid the traffic and start your vacation early by booking a Friday vacation rental through us. Since weekends are less busy on the beach, you'll have it just about to yourself. Less time in traffic and more time with your family - that's what vacation is all about!
For those of you who seek adventure and are looking for wide, uncrowded sandy beaches, the 4x4 is the place for you. The home has a reverse floor plan with the kitchen and living area on the top floor to take advantage of the vistas.

It is not uncommon to have the wild horses come right up to the home, but please remember to stay at least 50 feet away. The decks offer an spectacular place to view them.
Please remember that a 4WD is a must on this beach. The four-wheel-drive beaches are not for everybody, but if you want the unique experience of driving on the sand in an untouched, undeveloped, and desolate region, then look no further. Most people do not leave the 4x4 too often during their stay. They may only leave once or twice throughout their visit to restock supplies. There are no eateries or grocery stores on the 4x4, so make sure to get your supplies before you hit the sand!
**We require a signed rental agreement to rent our property.
Please note: There is a Ring Doorbell at the entry of the home.
**Starting in 2025, we will have an external security camera located in the carport of the home.

Tips to get the very best Currituck vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing a perfect Currituck rental:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Semi-Oceanfront, Newer 7 Bedroom, 7.5 Bath, Theatre, Pool, Hot Tub, WiFi, Pets has 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
